Doris Salcedo - Atabilarios
Atabilarios is made out of animal fibre and this gives off a terrible rotting meat stench. Salcedo collected old shoes of people that had passed away. The use of a physical object with over-powering scent creates overwelming memories. Using smell i want to trigger peoples memories, whether them being, sad or happy.
