Print workshop

In this workshop we were exploring embossing, printing and masking with different thicknesses of metals and card.

This abstract image is created by embossing and printing with a folded piece of metal. Also printing with the same shaped piece of card which i teared elements off the top layer to create a textured print.

To create this image i teared elements off the top layer of a rectangular shaped piece of card to create the background. I then inked the piece of metal, used in the last image, with three different colours and placed them over the top of the background to create this layered image.

 

To create this image i used metal only. I chose two pieces of metal that where shaped very similar and used the techniques, embossing and print, using both for each piece of metal.
